Sulamith Wulfing was born in 1901 in Wuppertal-Elberfeld, Germany. After finishing her high school education, she attended art academy for four years. And when only twenty-two years old, she had her first exhibition in her hometown of Wuppertal.

In the Second World War she was persecuted by the Nazis and had to flee with her son and mother while her husband fought for Germany. During the war, the family experienced a number of tragic events, before they eventually met again in Christmas 1945. Wulfing has always been convinced that only the spiritual support of Jiddu Krishnamurti, whom she honored as her teacher, prevented her from being transferred to a concentration camp by Hitler's SS.

For Sulamith, the years after the war were filled with intense artistic activity and publishing. She died in March 1989 at the age of 88. She is an internationally acclaimed artist. But more than anything else, her art touches the hearts of countless people throughout the world.

老健で老人のレクリエーション用に購入してみましたが、見本の絵が少なく、残念でした。自分で配色を考えらえるのであれば、よいとおもうのですが。。。

This was my absolute favorite coloring book when I was a kid! It took me over a year to color it (I was about 8), and I remember bringing it to my aunt's house and telling her, "Look! I colored this whole page all by myself!" Then I lost it :(
Then, I bought a new copy on Amazon!
This is more like a paperback book with many pictures to color than a "coloring book;" the pages are white, solid and high quality, and it contains the entire Litttle Mermaid story (only slightly abridged), so you could even use this as a picture-book, once it's colored. The drawings are moderately sophisticated, but very nice; if you buy this for a kid younger than the I'm-a-pro-coloring age (for me, about 10-11), I would photocopy the pages and not let them color the actual book--that way they can re-color forever without ruining anything. (I do this with all nice coloring books, for my little brother and sister (since they were 5-6).) There are 12 full-page illustrations and 24 half- or three-quarter size illustrations; the book has 46 pages total. The Sea-Witch is ugly but not scary, so it should be okay with the younger crowd :)
Most kids, especially little girls, will love these pictures (unless they aren't princess-y kids), and they are still beautiful to me, looking at them as an adult. (Actually, all the Dover coloring books I've seen are excellent--it was always a treat when I got one as a present.)
Buy this coloring book--it's one of the best.
