50のオバちゃんですが、30年以上聴き続けている不朽の名作です。
リマスター版は今ひとつ（自分が聴き込んだ音と違う）ことが多いのですが、これは違和感ありません。
少しモコモコした感じは原盤もそんなもんです。

技巧や音楽的に優れたバンドは数あれど、無からこの音、魂の叫びを生みだしたDISCHARGEを超えるハードコアバンドを私は挙げることはできません。

不条理さに押し潰されそうな時、DISCHARGEの音を聴くと力が漲ります。
全身鳥肌が立ち、アドレナリンが出ます。
唯一無二のすごいバンドです。

この感覚が恋しくなり、定期的に聴いて満足します。
曲に表現したい世界観がよく現れていて非常に芸術性が高い。

素晴らしく完成度の高いリマスター

「もしディスチャージに全く触れていないロック史があるとしたら、
そいつは話にならないほどデタラメなロック史だ」

という、森脇美喜夫氏の熱いライナーノートが収められているトイズファクトリー盤を
高校生の頃より愛聴しておりましたが、
これはLPの日本盤を元にしているもので（ちなみに日本で発売された初めてのハードコアのレコードです）
その都合で"STATE VIOLENCE STATE CONTROL"と"DOOMS'DAY"の2曲がボーナストラックとして
1曲目と9曲目というえらく中途半端なところに入っていて（A面の1曲目とB面の1曲目）、
そのおかげで、せっかくのアルバムの世界観が台無しになっていることにずっと不満を持っていたので、
要らない曲をカットしたり曲順を替えたりしてダビングなりコピーなりして聴いていたのですが、
やはりどうしても納得がいかず、正規の曲がそのままの順番で収められているものならばどの盤でも良かったのですが、
リマスター処理をされているということで、このSanctuaryから出ているものを手にしました。

これはリマスター盤にありがちな、ベース音だけやけに強調しているとか、ギターやヴォーカルを
前に出しすぎていたりして、音のバランスが変わってしまっていて、せっかく購入したのに
結局今まで聴いていたCDをまた聴くはめになる...みたいなことは全くなく、
本当「そのまま音だけが良くなった」っていう感じで、とにかく、初めて聞いた時は衝撃を受けました。
「今まで聴いていたものは何だったんだ？」ってうくらいすごくクリアなサウンドでした。

もし、この作品を今でも昔のCDで聴いていらっしゃる方がみえるのなら、
今すぐこのCDに買い替えることを強くお薦め致します！

This is discharge's magnum opus, "hear nothing, see nothing, say nothing". As far as hardcore punk goes, there are no gimmicks or any flair going on here, there is no aesthetic or concept they were going for stylistically, there is no influence they drew from but didn't stay true to, imagine a hardcore version of sex pistols that was less about being snotty and more about being realistic to the point of being pessimistic and nihilistic.
When you think of hardcore, you may think of punk that is heavier and angrier, maybe a little more aggressive than say the ramones, the clash, the sex pistols, the early damned, or the x ray spex, maybe you might think of some boozed up and self-destructive hardcore like black flag, or maybe some satirical stuff like the dead kennedys, and while all those bands are amazing in their own way, discharge were absolutely non-commercial, they weren't seeking to be melodic and budge at all, they were unapologetically purely hardcore, heavy, political, and going against the grain. There was no melody, there were no appeals to a wider, broader, and larger audience, there was just the horrors of war and an oppressive political landscape in which the poor are nothing more but political pawns to the elite, cast into a meat grinder and chewed out.
This exemplifies everything hardcore should be and was about, it was about unmasking truths that we would rather ignore and shining a light on the political hypocrisy that goes unchecked. Make no mistake, this album is still as heavy as ever, and you can definitely see where metal owes a huge portion to hardcore bands like discharge, especially bands like discharge.
They paint a nihilistic, bleak, and apocalyptic political landscape where humanity is on the verge of annihilation, the politicians in office are demons, and we are all just biding our time until it is our turn to be either crushed, beat, and kicked in the face by the boots that do the elite's bidding, or tortured, maimed, burned, shot, and eviscerated by the war that is to come and end all of life on earth.

Nice picture vinyl. I wouldn’t have bought it though but was tricked/didn’t study the rules, into thinking I’d get a Autorip. Doesn’t come with mp3 download either, poor show from Back on Black.
