テキサス出身のポップ・デュオで、美しいメロディーと息の合ったハーモニーなどで日本でも人気がありました。

これは'76に出たもので、彼らのアルバムの中では一番売れたものだと思います。

この後'79までにあと3枚のアルバム（'05にこのアルバムと同時発売）を残しました。

シングルカットされビルボードTOP40にランクインしたのは、

　(1) 第2位（アダルト・コンテンポラリー・チャートでは第1位）、ゴールド・ディスク獲得

　(6) 第10位

の2曲です。

自分も好きなグループのひとつですし、ソフト・ロックが好きな方などにおススメなのですが、残念なのはリマスターされていない点です。

ここ数年多くのアーティストのリイシュー盤がリマスターされているのに、このグループはまだされていません。

リマスター盤なら☆5つあげてもいいのですが...

This is a great album, the first on a new record label but remains in the shadow of their earlier albums, their debut album of the same name,"Fables" and "I Hear The Music". Their debut album,"Fables" and "I Hear The Music" unfortunatley remain out of one's reach. Unfortunately only those albums published on their second record label are available on CD. Hopefully in the not forseen future their earlier forgotten albums will be re issued on CD. "Nights Are Forever" however is worth getting.

We children of the 70's remember this CD well. I personally have been looking to replace my 8-track version for years. While not released in the U.S., this Japanese import is currently the only way to buy this album on CD. While the liner notes are in Japanese, the lyrics are also offered in English.
What matters, however, is the music! Hearing these old songs again, "Nights are Forever" and "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight" being the hit singles, just filled me with joy. The other songs, "Prisoner", "Showboat Gambler", and all the rest are really superb, mellow pop-rock songs. I was amazed that I still remembered most of the words, and all of the feelings came flooding back.
For those who have been awaiting release on CD - this version is well worth it! (One star reduction for the Japanese liner notes and jewelbox spine text).
