enyaの曲自体が音の粒子をちりばめたような作り方をしています。何層にも積み重なったミルフィーユのような感じとでもいえるのでしょうか。
オーケストラがenyaの曲を再現すると、音がちりばめられた感じになります。弦をこする音が聞こえ、声がなくても迫力のある音になっています。室内楽ではなく、オーケストラと競演するenyaを聞いてみたいです。このシリーズはどのアルバムもお薦めです。

タリーシンと発音して良いのだろうか？私は20年位前にエンヤの作品を集めたアルバムを初めて聴き、アレンジや印象が良かったのでアルバムを購入した。しかしその後、引っ越しなどでバタバタして紛失してしまったため再購入。
当アルバムでは弦楽器と木管楽器を中心とした編成で、エンヤのイメージを損ねない良いアレンジだなと思い仕事のBGMとしてよく聴いていた。その後「Anthem」「A Tribute to The Carpenters」など新譜が出るたびに買ってはビックリの連続だった。Anthem ではピンクフロイドやクイーン、エリック・クリプトンなど、ハードロックを含めたロックの名曲をロックバンドにオーケストラを加えたようなアレンジで、時にはかなりヘビーなアレンジと演奏を聴かせいた。カーペンターズ曲集では、終始サクソフォンソロをメインに簡素なバッキングのみという編成で、サクソフォンに美しいメロディを歌わせることに重きを置いた軽快な音楽に仕上げていた。そのほかにもジョージ・ウィンストンや讃美歌などのアルバムもある。
このタリーシン・オーケストラはイージーリスニング全盛期の60〜70年代のような、リーダーとなる編曲者&指揮者が同一の編成によるオーケストラを主体に演奏するスタイルとは全く異なり、アレンジャーや演奏家がアルバムや曲毎に変わる実にユニークなオーケストラだ。暫く新譜の情報を聞いていないが、今後も末長く活躍してくれることを願う。

イージーリスニング、BGM用として使えます。
enya for orcestra として　☆四つです。
ただし、サブタイトルの　the music of enya （エンヤの音楽）としては☆二つです。
エンヤの曲（the works of enya もしくは　pieces of enya　）と表記してほしいです。
エンヤの特徴である、深遠な雰囲気、透明感は感じられません。
エンヤの演奏を聴き始めてすぐにエンヤワールドに引き込まれるのですが、このアルバムは《聴く》というより《聞く･聞こえている》という聞き流す感じです。
エンヤの音楽を聴くというつもりでは物足りないかも知れませんが、気軽に心地よく聞けます。
歌（ことば)が入らない分、BGMとして流すのには適しているように思います。
CDのnote に、「エンヤに影響を与えているアイルランドの風景、ケルト音楽の影響は薄められている。その分フットワークが軽く場所を選ばず聞ける」という主旨の記述が有りますが、同感です。
総合評価で☆三つにしました。
※なお、Disc1 ,Disc2とありますが、 CDは2枚ではなく、1枚のみです。
※現在、デジタルか出品者からの購入になると思いますが、note も参考になるのでCDでの購入をお勧めします。

This version of ORINOCO FLOW combines the effects of an orchestra and a creative director to re-imagine several of Enya's many songs from a classic orchestral format! It's truly beautiful as it is enrichingly rewarding to listen to!

The album has some very haunting beautiful pieces of music based on Enya's original work.One of the songs,(I do not think iI have to tell you which one) puts you back in the atmosphere of the "Middle Ages". The Taliesin Orchestra has done a wonderful job with this work in providing an enjoyable evening of music if you have nothing better to do.Hopefully some of their other "enya" albums the Taliesin Orchestra produced can live up to this one.I will find out in the future when I listen to some of these other Taliesin albums.

I don't know why Amazon.com has moved so many of my early product reviews (especially those of Enya's albums) into the anonymous file ("a music fan"). Here is a repost, and slight revision, of my original review.

Serendipity strikes again...that quality of finding something wonderful that one isn't looking for. This debut album by the Taliesin Orchestra is one of serendipity's more powerful lightning bolts in my life. Much closer (IMO) to the spirit of the original artist's work than TO's follow-up treatment of George Winston's music, this CD takes the heart of Enya's music, plants it as a seed in new soil, and nurtures it into a bloom worthy to stand in Enya's own tea garden. "Lothlorian", the title track, "The Celts", "Bardic Dance" -- all of these sparkle like stars painted in the sky...(pardon my numerous puns!)

There is only one thing I really dislike about this recording: its treatment of the incomparable "The Memory of Trees". Every note and every chord Enya puts into her arrangement is necessary to the whole; take out even a little of what she put in, and the whole song is denatured. In TO's arrangment, the musical climax at the end of the original song is missing (why?), and with it the sense of holy awe the song is meant to evoke. Had the arranger stuck strictly to the melodic and harmonic structure of the original song, his soaring strings could've melted us the listeners right down into our socks. As it is, the arrangement succeeds despite itself, because the starting material is so strong.
