この日は甲南病院の日なんですか？
白石稔さんが出ているロケハンのビデオ見ました。
他のレビューにも書いてありましたが、
やっぱりボリュームが上がらないみたいです。
ディスクをスチールのケースに入れ替えました。
空っぽだったのでびっくりしました(笑)

あの事件まで、京都アニメーションの存在すら知らず、劇場版のDVDを買いあさった。こんな面白い作品があったことを初めて知った。ストーリー展開も面白く、2時間40分があっと言う間の傑作であった。長門有希がエヴァの綾波レイに似ていた。

先日Abemaテレビで「鈴宮ハルヒの直観｣販売記念2009年テレビ版2週間無料、という企画があり、前から気になっていたハルヒのテレビ版を2周ほど視聴しました。大変気に入り、映画もみたいと思ったのですが、私の登録している配信サービスでは、新しいサービスに追加登録しなければなりません。ならば、と思いきってブルーレイを購入することにしました。

ブルーレイには、脚本集が特典でついているんですね。
※まあ、最初はふーん、くらいでパラパラみて、やはり視聴しなきゃピンと来ないな～、くらいに思っていましたが、実はこれ、強力アイテムでした。

早速来たので開けてみると、ケースの内側に割れ目が入っており、脚本集の端が若干つぶれていました。ただ、本体自身や装丁にはなんの問題もなく、価格も定価の約半額なので、個人的には満足です。

さて、早速本編を、と思い、視聴してみたのですが...

さすが京アニ！
「劇場版ヴァイオレットエヴァーガーデン｣
(2回見に行きました)でも感じましたが、ディテールへのこだわりが半端ない！
キョンがドアノブを回す際の関節の駆動する様が実写以上の繊細さで描かれており、あらためて驚愕。これって本当にヒト科の生物が描いたモノ？天の神様か何かの所業かしら、などと思ってしまいました。

ところで、画像に圧倒されつつ、さて何分モノかとパッケージをみてみると、なんと160分！

慌てて切りのいいところ(世界が改変される前の12月17日まで)で、ブルーレイを止めました。このままだと絵の迫力に圧されて視聴難民になる自信がある！

そこで、全体感を掴むため、あらためて脚本集を手にとってみたのですが、これがまた秀逸。映画の最初の方は視たので、作品の雰囲気を掴んでいたからでもありますが、臨場感あふれる書きっぷりで、一気に読み切りました。これは、控え目に言っても、べらぼうに面白い！テレビ版での内容が伏線になっており、謎だった部分もいろいろ解明されています。

ただ、なんと言っても160分。まだまだ迷子になる自信あり。
ということで、関連ブログを読み漁りWikiも見て、予習準備してから、再度本編にアタック！

視聴しました...。

はて、160分が長い？誰が言ったんでしたっけ？全く時間の経過を感じませんでした。

内容のレビュー関しましては、他の方が丁寧にコメントされていますので、詳細はそちらにお任せして...

長門ユキちゃんのお話でしたね。
いい話でした。

ちなみに私はユキちゃんファンなので大満足な作品です。ハルヒの満面の笑みやキャラ立ても魅力的ですが、寡黙で万能、ここ一番の時頼りになる、可愛く、つねに冷静なユキちゃん。しびれます！

雪の降りだした病院の屋上で、自分も下は薄着のパジャマなのに、自分の着ているコートをいとおしくユキちゃんに優しく着せてやり、フードも立ててやり、手を強く握るキョン。

３日３晩、心配のあまり、寝袋でキョンの隣で添い寝するハルヒ。寝顔を見て、先ず額の左右の髪を優しくなで、唇を指でなぞるキョン。そのあとは、軽くつねって起こしますが...

キョンのユキちゃん、ハルヒへの想いが言葉にしなくても、見事に画像に表現されていました。
ユキちゃんの想い、ハルヒの想い、は言わずもがな。
古泉ではなくても、これは「羨望｣ですね。

それにしても、脚本からバッサリ切られた部分やアドリブなのか後から追加されたのか、表現にも変更されている箇所が多々あり。脚本集付きのブルーレイを買って、つくづくよかったと思いました。

みくるさんにパフ殴りされ、鶴屋さんに注意された後、キョンが、
「いろいろな意味で、終わったな。｣と呟いていましたが、脚本集見てなかったら、「いろいろ｣の意味が私は、きっとわかりませんでした。

脚本集、3周見て、だいたい覚えましたので、脚本の世界・映画の世界で二倍楽しめます。

テーマ曲も、クリスマスにふさわしい聖なるメロディー。秀逸秀逸。
そして最後の映像。口元を本で隠したユキちゃんは、どんな表情をしていたのでしょう。
シチュエーションは全然違いますが、ユキちゃんには、なんだか手塚治虫先生の作品「どろろ｣の百鬼丸が重なります。
作品を通じては、押井守監督の「うる星やつらビューティフルドリーマー2｣を彷彿とさせますね。

ぜひにお薦めな作品です。
なお、視聴前に必ず2009年版の「鈴宮ハルヒの憂鬱｣のご鑑賞を！

最後に、2019年7月18日、不幸な事件に見舞われ、亡くなられた本作にも関わっておいでの武本康弘監督、池田昌子監督をはじめとする皆様、謹んでご冥福をおします。素晴らしい作品をありがとうございました。

嗚呼、無念...。

中古で安いので買ったのですが、この映画思っていた以上にしっかりした面白い映画で
驚きました。リアルタイムは2009年の２期のテレビシリーズを少し見た記憶があるだけでしたが、
ｄアニメでテレビシリーズなどを見直してもいまでもけっこうおもしろいです。
この映画、テレビシリーズ見ないとおもしろさが減少します。

Let me make clear here from the beginning that the 5 stars is for the movie ONLY.

The film itself is a tremendous piece of work. It is a little long, clocking in at about 2 hours and 40 minutes, but if you are familiar with the animated series, you may also be aware that they essentially took part of a what would have been a season and made it into what you have here. Still, the film itself is, for me, the golden standard when it comes to anime story telling. Some people have said that this movie was overly long and slow, but I must disagree. The pacing was spot on and worked well when compared to the series. Often times in movies and anime the ending is sort of sprung on you and you hardly have time to appreciate it. This movie allows you to savor those tender moments as the ending arrives and welcomes you to relish what it feels like to live in the shoes of the main character. When I first saw this film, I was just thinking it was going to be like the series, but if anything, it's far better. The overall quality is noticeably higher (as far as the animation) and the soundtrack is so good you might find yourself looking to purchase it as well. Be aware that this movie has constant tie ins with the series so if you've not seen both seasons 1 and 2, you better get those in before watching this or else you will simply not understand everything that is going on.

As far as the blu ray goes...

I love this anime and this movie. I really do. I just find it hard to pay $40 for a single movie. At it's current price (about $39), if you add in shipping, you are dishing out about $42-$46 depending on how you get it sent to you, plus tax (if your state charges it). Unfortunately, my state does have a sales tax so my total would be well over $46 to get the disc. For a movie, that's a lot of money. Just to give you an idea, I can get the Alien box set with 4 movies and over 50 hours of extras for $30 right now...on blu ray. Like I said, I enjoyed this movie immensely, but for someone like me, I am going to have to pass for now. I am all for supporting the people that created such a wonderful film, but there comes a time when I have to draw a line and say "Sorry, too rich for my blood." I know it being an import it's going to be a little more, but this was just too much.

******UPDATE****** (5/12/13)
There was a significant price drop so I sprung for the blu ray / dvd combo pack. I was also able to get free shipping so my waiting helped me save almost $20. Whomever is responsible for the price drop, thank you!

The Blu Ray transfer is magnificent. The picture is clear and the colors rich. The sound is very good, offering both an English and Japanese dub. The English dub sounded a little odd to me as I am very used to reading the subs.

Haruhi is back!

I waited ages for this disc, having originally pre-ordered it from amazon.co.uk last summer, only to get an e-mail from them a few weeks ago to say it was no longer available! So I went to amazon.com and ordered the US version (which is still available; fortunately I have a region-free blu-ray player).

I have read all the Haruhi Suzumiya light novels, so I know the story well. I am glad to say that the movie lived up to all my expectations; a tad long maybe (at 3 hours!) but very faithful to the book - in fact, almost verbatim. I would probably say that it is almost essential to know the story from the books first; I think most non-Haruhi fans would probably find it confusing and tedious, but if you are a fan, just buy it - it's great! The picture and sound quality are stunning; the animation is first-class - no disappointment here. I won't go into the story; if you're reading this, you are probably already a Haruhi fan. The representations of the characters are great; Haruhi is her usual bonkers, pain-in-the-backside self, Kyon is put-upon as ever, Mikuru is shy, cute and bashful, and spends most of the time being accosted by Haruhi and forced into strange costumes; Nagato (who is my favourite character; she rocks!) is finally beginning to show some semblance of emotions, albeit very faintly (I particularly liked the scene on the hospital roof, when Kyon takes Nagato's hands, and calls her by her first name (Yuki) for the first time, and tells her he and the others care for her a great deal, and he wouldn't like to be in a world without her; did I detect a trace of a smile from her at that point?). Koizumi is his usual quietly-spoken self, and you can tell he knows a lot more than he is letting on. I thought the 'grown-up' version of Asahina was very cutely done; she looked just as I had pictured her from the books, and has grown up into an intelligent young woman (as opposed to her rather scatty, timid younger self).

All in all, an excellent rendition of the story in the book; I hope they do the same with some of the later stories.

The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi is a great movie. I watched it multiple times including both the Japanese dub and English dub. Both voice casts are really good at portraying the characters and I was able to adjust quickly to the English voice actors because they did match the characters. I really can't stress enough how much good the English dub version is, and that comes from a guy watching Japanese dub shows 95% of the time.

There is a big attention to the visual detail; the movie is very well animated and the scenes are very detailed for an anime. It retains the show's style but I did notice that characters were a little more detailed and a big increase to the attention of the shadow detail (way more beautiful shadows in the movie).

The movie comes with both a bluray and DVD, and also an extras DVD. The 1080p version of the movie looks absolutely gorgeous and if I was to show off anime on a TV/screen this is the movie I would use. One thing that I didn't like is that the extras came on a DVD; I would had liked to have the extras on the bluray disc aswell or on a separate bluray disc. DVD is old-fashioned now and the image quality of the extras DVD was subpar (it looked like it was interlaced instead of progressive). Playing it on a PS3 fixed the image detail to something reasonable with the upscaling.

The DVD Movie quality was really good for a DVD; nothing to complain about it. Progressive and better than what you'd expect from a DVD.

**If you put the Japanese dub and english subtitles, they will be yellow; just mentioning**

Overall, very happy with the movie itself. Great story, my favorite part of the Haruhi serie. I would had liked the extras to be HD. I'm happy they included both a bluray and DVD, as it allows me to lend it to my friends if they wanna watch it :)
