Music is nice, but I got it for the Boomerang song. Silly, huh? Well, it's great & sounds like it's right out of the movie; I can see those kids on stage now, & this copy has their voices. This was a great scene in the movie. Funny, other hits from the movie aren't included; I was hoping to get them, but I got the Boomerang, so call me a happy camper. I never heard this hit in the 80s, so, maybe it's particular to the movie. Lucky I got it.

Mir hatte der Film so gut gefallen und auch die Filmmusik.
Ich habe mich sehr gefreut, dass ich über AMAZON die Möglichkeit hatte, selbst ein solch relativ 'altes' Produkt noch bestellen zu können. Mein Freund hatte fast Tränen in den Augen, da er seit ca. 20 Jahren versucht hat, an diese Musik zu kommen.
Die Musik ist wirklich so wunderschön, dass ich sie zur Zeit ständig höre.

Michael Convertino receives high marks from me because he was so successful with the inconceivable task of creating sounds for the reality of 'silence.' I don't know how anyone could do this as the definition of silence means without sound, but he uses these high schrill and screeching violins to actually capture (the emotion and mood anyway) of silence. This is all appropo to the movie, which is about the trials of a deaf woman, but it's more than that. Convertino also captures the feel of water and floating, as the characters were often seen on the Island ferry, and swimming in the pool. This is a true example of creativity and artistry.
