ライダーウェイトと比べると「あー、紙だなあ」って質感ですが
滑りがとても良く、シャッフルも容易です。
大きさは前述のライダーウェイトの通常版より小さめ、
普通のカードの大きさとでも言いましょうか。

描かれているイラストは非常に美しいです。
（好き嫌いはあるでしょうけども……）
占うだけじゃなくても箱から出してしげしげと眺めています。

ダークな雰囲気ですが出してくる答えは限りなく優しく、無限の慈愛と言ってもいいような感じです。
そういう意味で、見た目に似合わず『エンジェリック』な使用感のデッキです。
とはいえ、書かれているのは終末に向かう世界。絶望と嘆きに、最後まで付き合う天使たちの抱擁、そしてひとひらの希望。
そういったテーマが好きなかたにはうってつけ。ゴシックかつ、エレガントなデッキです。
ゴシックというと血の描写が出てきたり、アグレッシブなものも多いですが、こちらはどちらかというとアンニュイ――というか、鬱々とした雰囲気が主。
そのため元気がないときに非常にいいです。ポジティブになれないとき、無理に励ましたりせず、ただ優しく包み込んでくれます。
RWSと少々絵柄が違うため、個人的なコネクションをタロットと築いていかなければいかないので、初心者には向かないかもしれません（知識は入れずに直感だけで読もう！という方なら初心者でも大丈夫だと思います）。
絵柄で読むことに慣れている方なら実占でも問題なく使えると思います。
瞑想にもいいです。剣の３のソリッドな痛みで心の痛みを解放したり、剣の６でシチュエーションから出て行くのを助けたり。
毎日一枚は必ず気持ちをリフレッシュしてくれるカードが見つかります。お気に入りです。
最初、タロットの裏面の仮面が気に入らなかったのですが、これも使ってるうちに気に入ってきました。
カードはすべりがよく、湿気で簡単に反ったりせず、使いやすい。オススメです。

堕天使たちの美しいカード

堕天使をモチーフにしたタロットカード。サイズはタロットとしては良くあるサイズで、コーティングなどはされていないが紙の質は特に悪いということもない。８に正義、11に力が来る配列。
暗い色調で押さえられ、名前の通り「ダーク」な雰囲気だが、怖いというような絵柄でもなく美しいカード。なんとなくビジュアル系バンドの人のような顔立ちの堕天使もいる。
絵柄は独自色が強い。また大アルカナにはカードの名前が記入されておらず、ローマ数字のみ。パッと見ただけでは何のカードか分かりにくい絵もあるので、実際に使用するにはある程度の慣れが必要かもしれない。
小アルカナはウェイト版をモデルにしたものもあり、見比べてみると面白い。
一番気をつけなくてはならないのは、カードの裏面。仮面のようなものが描かれているのだが、上下が対象ではないので、逆位置を採用して占う人はその点に注意して購入した方がよい。
カードのにタイトルが書かれていないのが不便であること、裏面の図柄などを考慮して★３としたが、暗い雰囲気のパックを探している方なら候補の一つに入れて良い、美しいタロットだと思う。

ダークな感じがこれはこれで良い感じです。タロットはこんな雰囲気も大切。でもこれを全て使いこなすにはかなり大変かも?上級者むけですね。コレクションの一点にあっても良いかも。

I adore this magical deck. It speaks to my soul. This deck has its own system. You must immerse yourself in this apocalypse and not rely on standard card readings. I love the dark Gothic artwork. I get positive vibes everytime I reach for this deck. Very accurate readings. 🖤🖤🖤

Love the cards but very disappointed that within 2 weeks and only a few usages, the cards are peeling and leaving white paper stripes. The cards are flimsy and not of a good card bond. I have cards that are 30 years old with heavy use and have never had an issue with peeling. If you order these cards I would recommend to use as a collector deck and not for actual use. Very unhappy with the peeling and quality of such a beautiful deck.

The Art is Gothic with deep, pale hues of colour. The characters are wanton, serious, sad and compelling and the scenery is reminiscent of vampires and graveyards. It's pleasantly scary, there aren't any horrible monsters in it. The Majors do not their names written on the cards, just their numbers, while the suits are distinguished by different simple, coloured borders. If you look for Rider-Waite symbolism, it's quite hard to find. Most probably because the Dark Angels are 'dark' and foreboding, whereas the Rider-Waite depicts light and sun in the majority of it's cards. The Ace of Wands for example, shows a skull placed upon wooden pole with hands reaching up to it, against a gloomy, stormy gray sky, The LWB says "Everything begins with the first movement towards the goal!", an insightful and original take on the Ace of Wands, even though the picture lacks the fiery, energetic depiction of the card. 'The Lovers' card simply shows two 'Dark Angels' stood behind a couple, against a misty floor and deep, dark blue cloudy skies, the LWB says "With spread wings, the angels protect that which they love. For pity and for desire they choose to join with them in their fate and cleave to love against the darkening of the eternal night".

This deck is intriguing, inspiring and compelling and has a lot to offer the reader whose looking for something powerful, original and insightful to read with, although you may need to refer to the LWB to understand the card's symbolism.

If you have read my review of the Fallen Angels Oracle Cards, you know this is one of the few decks that has "spoken" to me.

I can't explain what exactly that means. Those of you dealing with spiritual matters might understand. I just knew, somehow, that this deck was the one for me.

So, for about 5 months, I hungered for this deck, and the Fallen Angels one. Finally I was able to obtain it, and I wasn't disappointed.

The cards themselves are beautiful. If you want to see samples, go to Aeclectic.com and find the deck. That's where I discovered it.

Each card has it's own dark beauty.

The only downside for me is the packaging. It's little more than that of normal playing cards. Maybe I am nit picking, but I do take pride in owning the decks I have, and the packaging matters.

For my part, I would have preferred something more like that found in my other decks. Wisdom of Avalon and Wisdom of the Hidden Realms. Sister decks by Colette Baron-Reid.

These have a lid that slides down to encompass the deck, book, and the bottom part of the box. Very slick in design and appearance.

Still, these cards are worth the investment. If you want a review on how they are used, just check Aeclectic's.

One thing about this, they are generally not something a novice would use. (Even though I am a novice, this was the first tarot deck that gave me a "mental shiver". So I got them despite being a novice.)

The suits and cards are arranged via symbols. There are no words on the cards. Not even the Major Arcana have this. So a novice to the craft may have a difficult time in remembering what each card is, let alone what it represents. This will come with practice, and experience, however.

All in all, this deck is very much worth the money I paid for it, and most likely will be for you as well.

Anyone who truly understands Tarot knows a person has to feel the vibration and energy of the cards. I felt that vibration from this deck when I saw the screen shot of it on Amazon.com; then I knew I had to have it. When I first held the deck in my hands, I felt a presence. I knew I had made the right decision.

Of course, the artwork is extraordinary, being a blend of illustration, photography, and painting; the gothic theme touches my soul. The power of the deck, however, is what has really surprised me. My other deck addresses the range of spiritual influences, while this deck reveals the hidden and dark nature that so often governs us. We tend toward denial of this dark nature; the fallacy of this behavior is our dark side often rules without our awareness, and this deck helps one maintain a conscious contact with that influence, an influence that is both necessary and proper.

The accuracy of any Tarot reading is contingent upon how well a person can interpret the layout and the cards therein, but a Tarot throw will always be accurate, even if the reader does not know how to utilize the spiritual information presented.

I can tell you this, I have already used this deck to help with decisions. I love this deck. It is already a part of me. It was a part of me before I became steward of its messages.
