Having just arrived from a 2 week backpacking trip to Taiwan my memories are still fresh. Lonely Planet Taiwan proved useful basically in every situation

I liked this book. It was well written, informative and humorous. It has a lot of pages devoted to general stuff about Taiwan which I especially liked. Helps you to broaden your view and knowledge about the country. Also several Chinese phrases that were provided in the book and were at first tested out on the street just for fun proved to be much more useful than expected.

I guess this book has everything you have learned to expect from a lonely planet book.

The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that to find accommodation I still had to turn to almighty internet at times. In many smaller cities the book failed to offer any information about budget accommodation. Instead it listed a whole lot of expensive hotels and manors way way out of my budget. Other that that it is a fantastic book. Thanks.

Ist halt ein lonly planet, da ist die Erwartung hoch und sie wird nicht enttäuscht. Ich habs in zwei Jahren nicht geschafft alles zu besuchen.

Ce guide, bien qu'il ait été édité en 2011, m'est très utile ! Les informations y sont complètes et détaillées.
Il y a une carte globale de l'île plus des cartes focus sur chaque région, et sur les grandes villes.
Le contenu est divisé en parties correspondant à des zones géographiques. Il y a aussi une partie historique sur Taiwan et des infos pratiques à la fin (langue, culture, transports, alimentation....).
Je suis très contente de cet achat; ce guide est très pratique !
